We’re Going to a Concert!
Do you remember the first concert you went to? Mine was Richard Marx. Yep, the one and only. I take comfort in the fact that for many of my friends, their first concert was New Kids on the Block, so I’m not as embarrassed to admit I saw Richard Marx. I wonder how my daughters will feel in about 20 years when they tell their friends the first concert they went to was… drum roll please… THE WIGGLES!!!!!

That’s right… we have tickets to see The Wiggles live! It took me awhile to convince Hubby that he really does want to sit through a few hours of four men singing songs to and for preschoolers. The concert is still a few months away so I haven’t told the girls. I can only imagine how excited they’ll be when they figure out what’s going on.

How exciting!! I can’t even remember what my first concert was! LOL
I can’t wait. I think I’m driving Hubby nuts because I talk about the concert at least once a day.
The children will love it. My first concert was a symphony. I’d heard that type of music from recordings, I had no idea how splendid it was to hear it love.
Enjoy your concert. Thanks for visiting my blog.

I think my daughters will be ecstatic when they see The Wiggles in person.
Goodness, my son would absolutely love to see The Wiggles! After many tight expressions and raised eyebrows, I think I’d be able to convince my husband when I mention the look of extreme pleasure we’d see on our son’s face! Have such a great time!
Oh I know The Wiggles simply can’t hold a candle to Richard Marx… but it’s still fun to tease Hubby and tell him I get to see my “Wiggle crush” Sam (the yellow one).

Aviolettel… I’m pretty sure that’s how I convinced Hubby, too. Once he realized our girls will have a good time it was a no-brainer.
Ha! My first concert was the Pointer Sisters. Waaaay cooler than NKOTB, though I have to admit I went to a few of those, too. Richard Marx - oh that brings me back!
The Pointer Sisters? That actually sounds like fun. As for Rick Springfield… I thought I read he was making a come back.
Welcome to the club! I took my oldest to see the Wiggles when she was 2. Daddy wouldn’t come–he’s a wuss! I still refer to entering Ticketmaster and asking for 2 tickets to the Wiggles as my defining “adult” moment. We loved the show-only downside is that Murray was not there (but his stand in was great!). I love Captain Feathersword. A little boy had a sign that said “Captain Joey wants to blow you down!” So Anthony read that out loud and the Wiggles kept giving Captain facts about Toronto and he kept saying “Well blow me down!” so the whole audience did! Don’t forget roses for Dorothy and dog biscuits for Wags (I didn’t know about that when I went). They do have baskets go through the crowd to collect them.
Apparently, I know far too much about the Wiggles! My youngest is just into them now–hopefully they will come back so I can take her too!
I’ve heard about taking things for Dorothy and Wags so I guess we’ll need to stock up before the show.
Fruit Salad Yummy Yummy LOL… hope your girls enjoy the concert
my kids LOVED the wiggles concert we went to!! I’m sure your girls–and you as well–will have a great time! We did lots of practicing beforehand to know all the songs and were still surprised!! How did I not remember you did Richard Marx?!
So let’s just clarify here. I’m not a groupie. I did not “do” Richard Marx… I was 13 or 14 and went to a concert. : )
That is so awesome, I can’t wait until my son can go to his first concert.
